We understand that we can no longer afford to neglect statewide political organizing and advocacy considering this state has passed policies that mandate that our bodies and sexualities are dangerous and should be regulated and controlled. Our inaction, silence, and invisibility at the capitol has profound implications for how we live our lives, our families and communities and the rest of the country. We can no longer afford to neglect statewide organizing and political engagement in the South if the struggle for reproductive justice is going to be realized. In order to ensure that our policies priorities, such as a statewide ban on shackling of incarcerated women during labor and delivery, are advanced, we need your support. We must continue to demand public policies and practices are free from bias, prejudice and oppression.
