The Supreme Court has upheld a Tennessee ban on gender affirming care for minors. The Supreme Court issued a ruling on U.S. vs Skremetti, a challenge to a Tennessee law that would ban gender affirming care, including puberty blockers, to trans people under the age of 18. This ruling comes at a time when state legislatures, like Georgia, have continued to target trans people–youth in particular–and restrict their access to bathrooms, sports, and healthcare. This ruling permits further transphobic attacks on the wellness and safety of trans kids in every state. Trans kids deserve the resources, care, and bodily autonomy to live their most liberated lives. We will continue to fight for access and resources outside of state intervention.

What You Can Do:

Georgia currently has a bill, SB 30, that would ban puberty blockers for minors. This bill is still alive for the 2026 legislative session. Get connected to SPARK to join efforts to advocate against this bill.
